Ross Won't Open Until Summer

The Ross Dress for Less "Opening Soon" sign has been hanging on the old Gottschalks at 29th & Grand for months and months.  In fact it has been there for so long with no real progress visible that some people have started to wonder if it will ever happen.

Not to fear bargain shoppers, Ross will be opening in June of this year.  "That's always been their target date," says Colin Conway of NAI Black, the firm that brokered the deal between the owners of the Manito Shopping Center and Ross. 

Colin Conway's Blog is Retail Northwest and he recently wrote a great post titled South Hill Momentum which shows a rendering of what Ross will look like when completed.  According to Conway's blog, "deals are in the works for the remaining space at Southeast / 29th (Miller's Paint is moving into part of the space vacated by Blockbuster), the former Hollywood Video space on 57th / Regal, the former vet space in Regal Plaza and the vacant space next to the incoming ROSS."
