Active 4 Youth is hosting the 3rd Annual Monster Dash 5K Fun Run and Kids Run in Manito Park on Sunday, October 30. A costume contest will be part of the festivities with prizes for the winners and also random drawings.
The 5K starts at 10am and the Kids Run starts at 11am. Race day registration and number pick-up is from 8:30am-9:30am
The cost to participate in the 5K is $20 with a shirt or $10 without a shirt. The cost for the Kids Run is $10 with a shirt or $5 without a shirt. Pre-registration ends on October 16, but you can still register after the 16th or on race day, it will just cost $5 more. Visit www.active4youth.org/monster-dash to download a registration form.
Active 4 Youth is a non-profit organization that aims to revive elementary sports programs in Spokane Public Schools. In 2009 Active 4 Youth was able to bring a cross country program to all 34 elementary schools in Spokane with no cost to participants. Over 3,000 kids participated the first year and the program has continued to be a success since then.
